We hike in Zurich and surrounding areas every Friday. We usually take a morning train from central Zürich to our starting point. We then hike for about 3 to 4 hours in all, stopping for lunch (a picnic in summer, a restaurant in winter) on the way. Line Dancing WorkoutLine dancing with a difference – that’s us! Our repertoire includes rumba, cha-cha, mambo, folk, as well as country and western line dancing… and much more. The music is guaranteed to make your feet itch for the dance floor; the choreography is good for your concentration and the melodies can raise your serotonin level. In other words, we move and have fun. We try to offer all-day hikes that take us to some of the most beautiful areas in Switzerland. Some will be easy and others will be more challenging. Well now's your chance to make changes! We meet every Wednesday morning in Meilen wearing walking shoes and a smile! We walk up to and along the Panoramaweg and make a round trip back down to the station, taking in the scenery and chatting along the way. We don't rush, but we walk with purpose. Our walk takes about an hour and a half, split equally between uphill, downhill and on the level. Afterwards we have a coffee in a local cafe. The walk takes place whatever the weather. Bring poles if you like, and come alone or with your baby in a baby sling or your dog.During the summer we also continue afterwards with a swim for those who wish. It’s a 5 min walk down to Meilen Badi for a swim in the lake and a picnic lunch. A great way to cool down, don't you think? Entrance to the Badi is CHF4. No need to register, just turn up with your swimsuit and towel.
